Social Media Means Business new AMAS programme

24 August 2010

AMAS has launched a Social Media Means Business programme designed to empower company management and staff to launch and manage these powerful new channels.

Social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter are an increasingly important part of the B2C and B2B communications mix.  In some cases, they have a broader reach than traditional media channels.

But there are challenges – managing reputations, integration with other marketing and communications activity, and monitoring and managing multiple new channels which are live 24/7.

AMAS’s Social Media Means Business programme enables companies to:

  • Develop a social media strategy to achieve marketing, sales, communications and other goals
  • Manage company, brand and individual reputations online
  • Monitor,  manage and measure a range of new channels
  • Enhance communications and marketing skills in a digital world

The programme is customised to meet individual client requirements and is split into two distinct parts:

Strategy

How can social media deliver real business value? What role do such sites play in supporting strategic objectives?  How to capitalise on the opportunities and mitigate the risks?  Our strategies give a framework and a governance model for businesses to use social media. Projects are delivered either as standalone assignments or as part of AMAS’s internet strategy service

Training

How to establish and manage a presence on social media sites?   What tools and techniques should be used?  How to measure effectiveness and integrate with other activity?.

AMAS delivers social media training programmes on an in-company basis either as standalone assignments, or as part of AMAS’s training service.

AMAS’s Social Media Means Business programme is delivered by highly experienced media professionals with both online and traditional media experience.  Projects are led by company Directors Aileen O’Toole and Fiachra Ó Marcaigh.
