If there was any doubt that the Internet has changed the face of tourism, then the annual visitors survey nails the facts. More than half of those who came to Ireland on holiday last year used the Internet to plan their holidays. And the prediction is that this will grow to 75% by 2010.
What’s more, a third of visitors said that the Internet had influenced their choice of Ireland as a holiday destination in 2006.
