Online advertising is considered a sell-out in the run up to Christmas, with no available inventory on the main Irish commercial websites.
Online advertising in Ireland is playing a game of serious catch-up, with some agencies seeing growth levels of over 100% on last year.
The forecasts point to online taking a larger share of the advertising cake. PricewaterhouseCoopers puts the value of online advertising in Ireland at $65 million this year, a 27% increase on last year and a steady upward rise through to 2011.
In the UK, Europe’s largest online advertising marketplace, strong growth levels are also anticipated but the rate of year-on-year increases is expected to taper off.
