2. IIA congress to explore eCommerce activity

The upward trend in eCommerce and other online business activity will be analysed at the Irish Internet Association’s (IIA) annual congress on 17 May.

Buy, Sell and Do Business Online is the theme and international and local speakers from leading eCommerce ventures such as eBay have been lined up.

The congress will feature case studies and delve behind the online trends which have been tracked by State of the Net since its launch at the 2006 IIA annual congress.

“We’re seeing phenomenal interest in the Web, from traditional businesses and new start up ventures,” says Fergal O’Byrne, Chief Executive of the IIA. “The trends which are being recorded quarterly by State of the Net are very positive and send a strong message to all businesses that they have to take the Web seriously.”
